The quality of these reels are fantastic. I own the STT20H model and although they are not marketed for beachcasting, boy do they deliver. 120 yards plus. I can cast these as well as my Dawia millionaire.
A good tip for beachcasting is to not fill the spool to capacity so you are able to get your thumb right over the spool and it really reduces the chance off bird nests, it also has centrifugal brakes. This reel can bully conger out of the water from the rocks with ease. Not that i have. Not much conger about in Suffolk or rocks for that matter although i have used it in North devon. With its fast retrieve and Loud ratchet if you need it this makes a great fishing tool. |
