A simple rotton bottom clip in stainless steel
Tie on a weak length of mono between your weight and the bottom of the link of your trace. The simply hang your weight on the rotter for casting. The weight comesoff the rotter when reaching the sea bed. If the lead then gets stuck on retrieve or by a fish snagging the weak link of line will snap loosing just the lead.
