Please Note: In all cases we try to use either Gudebrod or PacBay cottons.
Recently with the changing hands of Gudebrod thier cottons have been harder to source, we build 1000s of rod in store over a 30+ year period and have been impressed with PacBay cotton and in our opionion just as good and colour fast as Gudebrod.

The colour pigment in our whipping nylon is preconditioned into a colourfast medium that resists the damaging effects of powerful epoxies and varnishes that break down the colour pigment in regular Nylon thread, thus saving the time consuming steps of applying numerous coats of colour preserver or dope.
Most plain cottons sold are (D grade) thread which is ideally suited to whippings on Sea rods. We do keep some (A) grades in smaller numbers they are suitable for general spinning rods, fly rods and most other smaller diameter blanks.
