ESP Shank Stops ESP Shank Stops

ESP Shank Stop Designed for any rig that incorporates a sliding ring on the hook shank, ESP Shank Stops are housed on a handy frame that can be stored neatly in the tackle box. No more problems trying to extract a tiny stop from a flip top box! -The frame contains 40 stops, 20 of each mini and small. The mini stops are perfect for hook sizes 8 and 10 whilst the small are best suited to larger hooks. -Moulded in a soft, clingy material in a conical shape, the holes at each end do not quite meet in the middle, leaving a central membrane which is pierced by the hook point resulting in a secure, tight fit on the hook shank which will not slip on the cast and therefore requires no gluing.

ESP Barrel Bobbin Blue The highly versatile Barrel Bobbin kits include everything required to provide excellent bite indication in most carp fishing situations. The kits comprise: •Barrel Bobbin with interchangeable ball clips •Interchangeable grip clips •3" and 7" stainless reversible stainless ball chains •3g stainless add-on weight •Stainless hockey stick All components apart from the ball chain are machined in the UK in our own factory, ensuring exceptional quality and precision. The bobbins have an aesthetically pleasing barrel shape - a refreshing departure from the standard cylindrical shape of most bobbins. The two stainless ball chains have a unique feature where we have used a plastic connector at one end and a 3g stainless connector at the other. This allows the chain to be simply reversed to add weight to the bobbin when required. Also adding the 3g stainless add-on weight integrated into the hockey stick increases the weight further and means that the PTFE bobbin can be used at weights of 5g, 8g or 11g and the acrylic bobbins at 3g, 6g or 9g. This makes for a highly versatile set up suitable for everything from slack line fishing where a light bobbin is used to tight line fishing at range with the weight of the bobbin increased to the maximum. The interchangeable line clips simply allow the bobbin to be fished running on the line with the ball clips or gripping the line 'Elstow style' with the grip clips. The 3" ball chain is best suited to this setup, with the bobbin fished on a short drop near the bite alarm.

ESP Cryogen Classic Size 10 ESP Cryogen Classic Size 10
£3.95

ESP Cryogen Classic Size 10 Over three years of development and the last two years spent thoroughly field testing prototype samples has culminated in the launch of a new range of hooks that we believe sets a new standard in strength and point durability. New manufacturing techniques including both high temperature and cryogenic tempering have produced significantly stronger hooks with more durable, long life points. Cryogenic tempering is a process used to improve the molecular structure in steel which in turn reduces stress and improves strength and wear resistance. It is used in many disciplines with Formula 1 engine parts being a classic example. Bench tests on initial samples proved to us that the new tempering processes combined with improved designs and heavy forging resulted in hooks that were 25-30% stronger than other Tufflon coated carp hooks in the same wire gauge. So rather than having to improve strength by simply increasing wire gauge, new manufacturing processes have allowed us to maintain optimum wire gauges for each size which allow for fine, ultra-sharp needle points which are now more durable than ever. Over an exhaustive two-year field testing period where the hooks were used by around 15 independent specialist carp anglers plus ESP consultants Terry Hearn, Kev Hewitt and Martin Bowler, feedback has been wholly positive from everyone. In fact we have barely heard of a point turning over let alone a hook gaping out! Over those two years a serious amount of big carp have been caught on the new hooks from a wide variety of waters and every angler who has used them came back wanting more! This hook is a result of taking the existing Big-T pattern and improving and refining it to create a better, stronger shape. The Classic features a longer, finer straight point which is slightly more inclined towards the shank. This fine ultra-sharp point combined with the slick PTFE Tufflon coating and micro barb ensures excellent hook holds. The 13-degree in-turned eye provides excellent anti-eject properties and is a highly versatile pattern for a wide range of presentations.

ESP Cryogen Curve Shanx Size 10 The initial launch of ESP Cryogen hooks in March 2016 caused a massive stir with discerning anglers quickly recognising the distinct technical advantages they offered. They were the result of over three years of development and field testing which culminated in a new standard in strength and point durability. New manufacturing techniques including both high temperature and cryogenic tempering have produced significantly stronger hooks with more durable, long life points. Cryogenic tempering is a process used to improve the molecular structure in steel which in turn reduces stress and improves strength and wear resistance. Bench tests on initial samples proved to us that the new tempering processes combined with improved designs and heavy forging resulted in hooks that were 25-30% stronger than other PTFE coated carp hooks in the same wire gauge. We subsequently sent the hooks for independent scientific testing on hardness and tensile strength and the tests carried out confirmed and supported our initial findings. So rather than having to improve strength by simply increasing wire gauge, new manufacturing processes have allowed us to maintain optimum wire gauges for each size which allow for fine, ultra-sharp needle points which are now more durable than ever. ESP are now delighted to introduce three new patterns into the Cryogen range, with each type having been developed, tested and 'tweaked' over the last 18 months. They have proved outstanding in field testing and provide an even greater choice in high performance, long lasting carp hooks This is the same classic curve pattern previously available under the ESP Raptor banner but this new range has been made even better by stepping up the wire gauge in each size and giving them the bullet proof Cryogen treatment. So these Curves are now around 25% stronger than their predecessors while still retaining long fine needle sharp points which are now extra durable. The Curves are highly effective in a whole variety of rig presentations (perfect for the Ronnie Rig) and their quick turning, anti-eject shape combined with a needle sharp point ensures exceptional hook holds.

They have proved outstanding in field testing and provide an even greater choice in high-performance, long-lasting carp hooks As the name suggests, this is an amalgam of the best features of the Cryogen Gripper and Stiff Rigger, which is almost unfair on the carp! The shape is that of the Stiff Rigger, with the fine curved 'sticky' point of the Gripper. We have been getting asked for a while for a chod / stiff rigger hook with an ultra-sharp beaked point and have answered those pleas with a hook that has even converted a few straight point devotees through the testing process! Although hook choice is often down to personal preference rather than exact science, a beaked point can provide extra assurance especially in weedy or snaggy conditions, with unbeatable hook holds - and so they have proved through the testing process. Made in the same wire gauges as the Cryogen Stiff Riggers, making them the perfect pop up hook, the Grip Riggers feature heavy forging and of course the Cryogen treatment making them incredibly strong with durable points.

ESP Cryogen Grip Rigger Size 6 The initial launch of ESP Cryogen hooks in March 2016 caused a massive stir with discerning anglers quickly recognising the distinct technical advantages they offered.

ESP Cryogen Curve Shanx Size 6 The initial launch of ESP Cryogen hooks in March 2016 caused a massive stir with discerning anglers quickly recognising the distinct technical advantages they offered. It is used in many disciplines with Formula 1 engine parts being a classic example.

ESP Cryogen Gripper Size 4 Over three years of development and the last two years spent thoroughly field testing prototype samples has culminated in the launch of a new range of hooks that we believe sets a new standard in strength and point durability. Over an exhaustive two year field testing period where the hooks were used by around 15 independent specialist carp anglers plus ESP consultants Terry Hearn, Kev Hewitt and Martin Bowler, feedback has been wholly positive from everyone. In fact we have barely heard of a point turning over let alone a hook gaping out! Over those two years a serious amount of big carp have been caught on the new hooks from a wide variety of waters and every angler who has used them came back wanting more! This pattern is the culmination of striving to design the perfect all round beaked point carp hook. The Gripper was subject to various design tweaks through the development process and the end result was well worth waiting for! The super fine, long curved point is the perfect shape and during testing, provided exceptionally secure hook holds. Other features include a 10-degree in-turned eye (slightly less than the Classic to allow for the inclined beaked point), heavy forging, micro barb and of course, the slick PTFE Tufflon coating.
