Korda Krimp Tool The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials. In particular we are really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod rigs. Not only this but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit normal stiff materials and stiff coated braids like our Hybrid Stiff and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono). The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development but we are sure that it’s been well worth the wait. Judging from the interest that you have shown in this product range it’s about to become one of Korda's most popular products!
Korda Spod Braid This braid casts superbly well, thanks to its low diameter, allowing you to bait spots right at the limit of your casting ability. You’ll notice that it has a rather unusual fluoro green colour, which helps to deter seagulls when baiting up with a throwing stick or floater fishing. Gulls just won’t swoop down when the hi-viz line is snaking out across your swim. It is hard-wearing and has high knot strength, which is key when you consider just how much punishment that your spod setup is subject to over the course of a year. There are 300m on each spool, so you’ll be able to spool up more than once, as long as you back your spool up. We recommend that you use a 30lb Arma-Kord shock leader to take the force of the cast; you can attach this using a back-to-back grinner knot.
Korda Krimps The final launch in our big-hitting trio of new releases is the long-awaited Krimp Tool. We’ve been fielding questions about the release date for what seems like years but the big day is now very close. The clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation! The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials. Korda Marker Braid This braid casts superbly well, thanks to its low diameter, and transmits the feel of the lake bed accurately back to your rod, allowing you to find the very best feeding areas with your marker float setup. It is hard-wearing and has high knot strength, which is key when you consider just how much punishment that your marker setup is subject to over the course of a year. The Marker braid is finished in a SUB-Green colour, to make it as unobtrusive as possible. There are 300m on each spool, so you’ll be able to spool up more than once, as long as you back your spool up. We recommend that you use a 30lb Arma-Kord shock leader to take the force of the cast; you can attach this using a back-to-back grinner knot.
Korda Stow Bobbins Complete Indicators These are ready-to-go indicator systems that are available in all eight colours. You get a head with weight, magnetic hockey stick and TWO chains. The reason that the kits are supplied with two chains is so that you can use your indicators with any type of conventional bite alarm. The chains with short steel extensions are suitable for Delkim-sized alarms, whereas the chains with long extensions are for smaller, Neville-type alarms. These kits represent real value for money because they contain everything apart from isotopes, which are available separately. The only question is, which colour will you go for?
Korda 4th Dimension Classics / Yellow Lens Polarising sunglasses are perhaps the single most important item of tackle that you can own. They cut down glare to allow you to see your quarry as they move around, below surface. So, it was only natural that we’d release a range of our own. This timeless style is uber-cool, a demi-tortoiseshell model with yellow lenses. Korda 4th Dimension Classics
Korda Chod Safe If you use chod rigs, or hinged stiff rigs then you’re going to want one of these neat cases. They’re an impact-proof way to curve and store up to 28 perfect Mouth Trap hook sections, of a range of lengths. Two different diameter sections allow you to set, and keep both short and longer pre-tied chod rigs in the perfect fish-catching curve. What’s more, there’s also space for three pre-tied leadcore leaders (or similar) with Heli-Safe beads attached. Those clever design bods have engineered a pop-up handle to allow you to steam your chods into the perfect curve, without burning your fingers too! The ChodSafe is finished in a soft-touch rubber and features a neat magnetic closure system to prevent it opening in transit. Each ChodSafe comes with thirty pins to secure your rigs to the foam-lined cylindrical sections
Korda Infuza Pots Most anglers appreciate that the inspiration to develop a new product comes from being faced with a recurring problem, and here at Korda Developments we have recently seen an increase in the need for a no-fuss hook bait storage facility, which is why we decided to develop this little gem, the Infuza. Boosted hook baits have been a popular technique in carp fishing for many years; the use of oils, flavour additives and bait soaks have seen a resurgence in the last couple of years and the use of such products in our own fishing really did highlight the need for a product that satisfied our requirements. We needed to design something robust and easy to use, which allowed excess liquid to drain from the surface of the hook baits, ensuring an even coating. The internal tray allows the baits to sit above the glug, but be coated with a simple shake of the pot. Lastly, we wanted to design a quality piece of tackle. We think that the Infuza does everything that an angler requires from this type of product. It is available in two sizes, large and small.
Korda Mini RigSafe We’ve overhauled our rig-storage solutions recently, and this new Rig-Safe is the result. It’s robust and compact, yet it will hold up to 60 pre-tied rigs! As you’d expect, we’ve tweaked the design to include several neat upgrades compared to the traditional rig box. The magnetic locking system ensures that the box can’t come open in transit, and is easy to open, even in the wet and cold of a UK winter! The rigs are secured by hooking over a ridged aluminium bar that prevents tangles, and the hook end of the box is slightly recessed to protect those hook points. The RigSafe comes with 30 standard single pins and 15 double pins, which have been designed to secure hook links that haven’t been finished with a loop or swivel, allowing you to leave final adjustments to rig length until you’re in the swim. The case is finshed in a carpy soft-touch rubber too! - See more at: http://www.korda.co.uk/fishingtackle/accessories/mini-rigsafe#sthash.ZJAfQKQk.dpuf
Korda Katapult This catapult is set to become an industry benchmark for reliability and fuss free performance. Korda have launched 2 versions of this katty, a light and a heavy version. The light version has a medium pouch and thick elastic, this is ideal for putting a small amount of bait a long way, whereas the heavy version has a bigger pouch and and thinner elastic, this is ideal for introducing a lot of bait up to roughly 60yds. The Korda development team has solved one of the biggest frustrations of using a catapult, twisted elastic. They has designed rotating collars in the ends of the frame, which eliminates elastic twist, brilliant!!!
Korda Pulla The Pulla has been specially designed so that the angler can easily pull knots tight on hooklinks and check that they are strong enough. The 2mm stainless steel hook fits perfectly through a Korda size 8 swivel or a link loop this handy little tool makes tying rigs much easier as holding the swivel and tightening up can be a fiddly job.
Korda Stripper Tool Since releasing their Hybrid hook link material Korda have been inundated with emails and calls from people enquiring how to strip it. For the last few years they have recommended using your teeth which can`t be doing anyone any favours for their dentist bills! Well they have now found an answer to this problem - the unique Strippa Tool. This is a simple but extremely effective device that can be used for all coated hook link materials making it an absolute must have item for any serious carp angler. The Strippa Tool is a small neat product manufactured with Anodised Aluminium in British Racing Green. This truly is a nail and teeth saviour for those anglers who love using coated hook links.
Korda Spare Stow Heads Who said that you had to restrict yourself to just one set of coloured heads?! You can in fact buy spare heads in all the different Stow colours. Before you simply clip one onto your line, take time to check out the smooth lines and perfect functionality of these super-indicators. Long-time Elstow user Damian Clarke has made the production of these heads an absolute labour of love and it shows! Truly things of beauty.
Korda Stow Lites Isotopes These high-power isotopes fit the Stow Indicator System heads perfectly. You`ll find a colour to match each of the indicator head colours in the range - perfect for the fashion conscious angler among us!

If you`ve got Stows you`ll want these cases!
Korda's first release in the Fake Food range is this pop-up imitation corn. It's Danny Fairbrass' baby, and here's what he has to say about it: “I have put a great deal of time and effort into formulating a bespoke range of plastic hook baits to cover almost any angling situation, worldwide. Our baits are different from anything else because they contain our favourite flavour/attractor combinations arrived at after years of making our own pop-ups, actually moulded into the plastic. These flavour combinations are as follows, I.B. - Ali's Illegal bast###s, a blend of several fruits that is now legendary. Pink Fruity Squid - blend of the best squid and several fruity attractors. White Banoffee - Danny's most recent favourite that has caught him huge fish all over Europe Green Citrus Zing - a blend of exclusive citrus flavours, made to make their mouth water. All come with free hair stops that pull up inside the bait so the hair cannot be seen from above, a trick taken from some of the best plastic users in the country. A small but deadly range that will soon dominate the plastic baits scene."
Korda Flat Pear Inline Lead Again hard bottoms are the place for these designs; the short condensed shape of this lead coupled with the two flat sides makes it the perfect lead for bolt rigs at short to medium range. By its very nature the flat pear lead lends itself to being fished on marginal slopes, the sides or back or gravel bars and in rivers. But, in fact it is open of the most effective shapes at short to medium range because it holds so well on the lake bed and offers so much resistance to a moving carp. We have also seen that this type of lead is by far the most like a stone on the lake bed and during the Filming of Parts 1, 3 and 4 this lead blended in better than any other. Popular misconception 'Flat leads sit on silt'. This does not happen, any lead finds its easiest path through the water so instead of fluttering down to the lake bed, a nose heavy flat lead like this will plummet down side on and nose first. Making it probably less effective in the silt than say a Swivel Pear lead, having said that it is devastating on gravel and is Danny's first choice in these close range hard-bottomed situations. Danny noted when filming part 3 of the Underwater Videos 'I tried a Flatliner Pear on the steep gravel slope to see if it really did hook the carp quicker than a swivel lead of the same shape and to my amazement it really did! I had been testing the lead clips for so long I had ignored the inline lead - not any more!'
Korda Anti Tangle Sleeves Korda Anti Tangle sleeves have been specially designed to reduce tangles, they also help to push the hooklink away from the lead. When using coated hooklinks such as Hybrid or fluorocarbons like IQ, the rig will work best when the hooklink is laid out straight and away from the lead system. By incorporating these sleeves in your set up you will increase the effectiveness of your rig which will help turn more bites into hooked fish.As with our 'Safe Zone' Leaders we have manufactured these sleeves in four different lakebed colours; Gravel, Weed, Clay & Silt. We have proved on the Underwater films that matching your components to the spot you are fishing will make a huge difference to your catch rates.
Korda Arma Kord Arma-Kord is an incredibly abrasion resistant braided line, which is also supple and thin for its strength. It has been designed as a high performance snag /shock leader for extreme snag or long range situations. In tests this braid proved at least 50 percent more abrasion resistant than the nearest competitor, its thinner diameter and low vis brown colour also makes it far less detectable underwater.
Arma Kord Sinking Put simply, this is the sinking version of our all-conquering Arma-kord leader material. Arma-kord has rightly developed a great reputation for reliability and the addition of this sinking version will simply cement its place at the very top of the tree. Reach for this on demanding waters where snags make a solid snag leader essential. Currently available in 50lb and 30lb.
Korda Big Eye Swivels Adding to the range by popular demand these swivels have one very large round eye and one normal size one. As with all our swivels they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark `anti glint` dull grey finish. THREE MAJOR USES Firstly they make very smooth running rigs when used as a replacement to the swivels found on the top of our leads. They were originally designed as part of the running rig kits. But after too many enquiries to mention we had to add them to the range. The second obvious use is for helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the larger beads circumference. In other words the large eye will slide effortlessly around it. They can also be used at the top of a link for the marker float - the large eye will allow the line to pull through that bit easier than a standard swivel. No doubt you will find other uses we have not even thought of yet.
Korda Boilie Funnel Web With PVA sticks popular among many and so many boilie anglers out there it was important that we developed some PVA to suit. The Boilie Funnelweb is slightly narrower than the original Funnelweb enabling you to using it when casting further. Two or three baits placed into a PVA bag can be very effective – just enough of a mouthful to create a take without overfeeding. You don’t just have to use boilies though. Incorporating the MICROMESH you can place maggots micro pellets or crushed baits inside. Not only that you can create the ultimate PVA sticks. Just like the others the system comes complete with a compressor stick to create the tightest sticks. You receive 7 metres of PVA on each system and the tube comes colour-coded to help match the refills correctly.
Korda Boom 25lb Stiff Link Fluorocarbon Boom is a game-changing fluorocarbon! It’s the first fluorocarbon that can be crimped, which opens up a world of uses for rig tying. Its prime function is for creating stiff boom sections to help kick the hook bait away from the lead system, something Boom does each and every cast. You can use it to make combi-rigs, or out-and-out stiff rigs, for pop-ups and bottom baits alike. Your imagination is the only limit to its rig applications. Being a fluorocarbon, Boom blends with all lake bed types and, thanks to its subtle, green tint, it’s always inconspicuous to carp feeding around it. Boom is available in 0.55mm and 0.65mm, on 15m spools.
Korda Braid Needle Baiting tools are an important part of any carp anglers kit some people are happy to use one needle for everything. However seeing as we are self-confessed perfectionists we like to use exactly the right tools for the Job. For that reason we have designed these little babies! We have produced the needles in mega bright colours to minimise the chance of misplacing them. How many times have you thread boilies or particles onto your hair flicked the needle onto the grass and lost it? A lot I would guess. However this is now completely eliminated with the luminous new colours. So whether you need one with a long stem short stem thick needle thin needle latch or no latch there will be a needle to suit every circumstance. BRAIDED HAIR NEEDLE - YELLOW HANDLE Ideal for hairs made with braid so it won`t get caught in the fibres.
Korda Chod Swivel These size-eleven ring swivels have been subtly re-engineered to allow for putty to be securely moulded around the barrel. We’d noticed that most anglers used our size-11 ring swivels when making chod rigs, or the hook section of a hinged stiff rig. The team set about designing a swivel that would provide more purchase for the putty counterweight. These little beauties are the result…
Korda Choddy Hooks A hook designed to be incorporated with the popular chod rig or hinged stiff rig presentation. The pattern features an out-turned eye and the point is unbelievably sharp and reliable, retaining its sharpness in the most demanding conditions. Anglers such as Darrell Peck swear by this hook. They've literally taken waters apart using it, so get on it. Its dull, anti-glare finish blends it in with the surroundings ensuring that you won’t spook any passing fish. An absolute must for the avid stiff rig user. Due to the wide gape in the pattern, it creates extremely secure hook holds as the beaked point holds firm and doesn't twist and turn during the fight. A great hook. Learn how to incorporate this wonderful hook into your fishing by scrutinising the step by step sequence on the popular chod rig.
Korda Cog Kit A lead system that betters the hooking qualities of an inline, yet casts like a lead clip, with all its safety benefits? It doesn’t exist, right? Well, such a product is in tackle shops from tomorrow. After what seems like ages in the development, the COG system is finally here, in physical form. COG stands for Centre of Gravity, which is a reference to the unique way that the hook link is attached to the heaviest part of the lead, giving instant, unparalleled hooking. Put simply, this system has been designed to convert more pick-ups into fish on the bank. So, why did it take so long? Well, simply put, we tested it, tweaked it, changed it and then changed it back again across the space of a few years. The whole sampling process takes an awfully long time and because the end result had to work flawlessly, each stage was tested rigorously. Right through from early testing, to DVD sessions at Gigantica and intense scrutiny in front of the unblinking Underwater cameras, the COG has proven itself to be a genuine advantage. In order to truly take advantage of the unique attributes that the COG possesses, you need to be aware of its limitations. Crucially, it must be used with tubing or leadcore, and in testing we found that, although effective with more supple links, it is more suited to the stiffer hook links, such as IQ, Hybrid Stiff and N-Trap Semi Stiff. They help to eliminate tangles and kick that hook bait away from the COG, ensuring that a fish picking the hook bait up feels the full hooking impact of the system immediately. To aid the kicking-away process, we’d recommend that you give critically balanced ‘wafter’ hook baits a go with your stiff-rig setups. The one rig that stands head and shoulders above all others for use with the COG is Danny Fairbrass’ IQ D Rig. You only have to look at the Underwater filming to understand just how effective that pairing can be. When to use it then? Well, it’s best used over firm lake beds like gravel, sand and firm silt, rather than weed, when you’re better to reach for the Heli-Safe system. It can be cast every bit as far as a normal lead clip system, although when going for extreme range, it’s worth dispensing with any PVA bags as the impact could force the half-swivel out of the lead. For margin work and placing from boats, the COG is simply unrivalled. Initially, there are just two lead shapes available, flat pear and distance, which should cover you for most fishing situations. The flat pear version is best used for closer range, lowering or dropping from a boat, whereas the distance version is the one to reach for if you’re having to go long for your fish. One point well worth noting is that the COG boom sections are numbered (on the swivel) because it’s essential that they are used with the correct lead. If you use the wrong boom with the wrong lead, the setup simply won’t work as intended. We’ve had reports of great results from all those who’ve been able to use samples so far, and we’re excited to see how much of an impact the COG has on your angling too. We aren’t claiming that the COG is the answer to all your fishing problems, but it certainly does take bolt-rig technology forwards, while retaining the inherent safety of the lead clip. One thing’s for sure, it’s set to catch an awful lot of fish this year…
