This 5000 size has been more popular with boat anglers when in-shore wreck/ reef fishing targeting larger species from big Cod, Coalfish, Pollock Bass Etc. Built around an aluminium body the Digigear II drive is held solidly in place under loading, maintaining a smooth power transfer and winding feel. This is enhanced further by the presence of 6BB and the graphite Air Rotor. Line release during the fight is also smooth thanks to the ATD with carbon washers. The BG family will serve many anglers in fresh and saltwater.
