The SPEEDMASTER LD is a new addition to Shimano’s conventional lever drag line up. The Speedmaster LDII is a very versatile reel.
Because of its compact sizing, it can be used for many types of rods and fishing techniques like trolling, stand-up fishing, bottom fishing and even casting. The 2-SPEED Gearing is very helpful: when the bait / lure needs to be retrieved fast, the angler can use the 5.7:1 gear ratio which winds in 107 cm per rotation of the handle.
