A derivative of the three-hook flapper where one of the hook snoods is positioned directly above the lead. This gives the angler two hooks fishing in the water column at the top and middle of the rig body, whilst the lower snood is fishing directly on the bottom.
Three hooks allow the angler to fish with multiple baits and to increase the scent trail to attract more fish and a wider variety of them.
The different positions of the hook snoods give the angler a competitive advantage to cover different types of species, covering fish that feed off the bottom and those who fish directly on it.
