The Avid Carp Revolve 2+ Bivvy is a spacious and well-designed shelter that offers an excellent balance of quality, functionality, and affordability. Part of the Revolve range, it is specifically aimed at budget-conscious anglers who still want a reliable, full-sized bivvy for two people.

Key Features and Specifications

Design and Frame: The bivvy features a classic two-rib, “pram-hood” design with a flat back. This unique squared-off shape is a key feature, as it maximizes internal room while maintaining a compact footprint that can fit into tighter swims. It also includes a large extended peak at the front for added protection from the elements.
Captive Frame Support: For a rapid and straightforward setup, the bivvy comes with a “captive frame support” system. This means the tension bars are pre-attached, so you don’t have to fiddle with separate poles. You simply unfold the bivvy, lock the captive frame into place, and peg it down. This significantly speeds up setup and pack-down times.
Fabric and Weather Resistance: The bivvy is constructed from a hard-wearing khaki fabric with a 10,000mm hydrostatic head. This high rating ensures the bivvy is fully waterproof and can withstand heavy rain, protecting you and your gear from the elements.
Ventilation and Door Options: The bivvy offers versatility in its front panel. The front can be rolled back to create an open-fronted shelter, ideal for warmer weather. The main door is a two-way “letterbox” style and features a solid fabric infill, a clear PVC window, and a built-in mosquito mesh panel.
Internal Features:
- Rod Straps: Two rod straps are located at the front of the bivvy, allowing you to secure your rods while you are baiting up or sorting out your rig.
- Rear Vent: The bivvy also includes a large rear mesh vent, providing additional airflow to help reduce condensation and keep you cool in warm conditions.
Supplied Accessories: The Revolve 2+ Bivvy comes as a complete package, including a lightweight groundsheet and a set of heavy-duty pegs. All of this is conveniently stored in an oversized zipped carry bag for easy transport.
Overwrap Compatibility: An overwrap is available separately, which can be added to create a twin-skin system. This will provide extra insulation, further reduce condensation, and create an extended porch area.
