Material: Made from durable, shatterproof polycarbonate plastic, making them robust for saltwater fishing and ensuring they retain their color.
Colors: Available in numerous colors, including Luminous, Red, Yellow, Green, Black, Clear, Orange, and Mixed packs.

Primary Uses for 5mm Beads

The 5mm size strikes a balance, making it suitable for both the main rig body and as an attractor:

Buffer Beads (Standard): They are commonly used as buffer beads, particularly in boat fishing, where they are placed between a sliding component (like a Tronixpro Zip Slider or Ledger Boom) and a swivel or knot. The 5mm size provides adequate cushioning against impact.
Visual Attractors: The beads can be threaded onto snoods (hook lengths) or the rig body to add visual attraction through color or luminosity, which can be particularly effective for flatfish and other species.
Snood Stops: They are used as stop beads on the main rig body, positioned next to crimps to secure the swivels for snoods in place (e.g., on a three-hook flapper rig).
“Glue Rigs”: Clear 5mm beads are popular for making “glue rigs” where a subtle presentation is desired, as they blend in well while still providing the required buffer function.
