It’s a popular choice for anglers who require additional space for socialising, gear storage, or simply a more comfortable basecamp during longer fishing trips.

Key Features and Description

Creates a Substantial Porch Area: The primary function of the social cap is to add a significant 1.2m of porch space to the front of the Tempest RS 150. This creates a covered area that can be used for a multitude of purposes, such as a cooking zone, a place to store muddy gear, or a comfortable seating area to relax with friends.
Enhanced Aquatexx Fabric: The social cap is constructed from Trakker’s market-leading Aquatexx material, which has been enhanced with a multi-layered breathable system. This fabric boasts a superior 25,000mm hydrostatic head rating, providing exceptional waterproof performance to keep you and your equipment dry in even the most extreme downpours. The fabric also features a black-out pigment that reduces light and heat ingress, helping to keep the bivvy cooler in the summer and preventing the material from fading over time.
Improved Insulation and Condensation Control: By covering the top of the bivvy, the social cap adds a layer of insulation that helps to maintain a more stable internal temperature. This also significantly reduces condensation buildup, a common issue in single-skin shelters, leading to a much more comfortable and dry internal environment.
Optimised Airflow: The design incorporates twin side openings that can be rolled back. This feature is crucial for promoting excellent airflow and cross-ventilation, which further helps to combat condensation and keep the bivvy cool during warm weather.
Integrated Compatibility: The social cap is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Tempest RS 150 bivvy. The bivvy’s own infill panel or a separate insect panel can be zipped directly into the front of the social cap, offering additional protection from the elements or insects while still allowing for a view of the lake.
