The PENN® Overseas XT II Offshore Casting rod is a high-performance, three-piece travel rod designed for serious offshore anglers who need a reliable and powerful setup for casting big lures. This rod is versatile enough for targeting hard-fighting species like tuna in tropical waters, as well as casting stick baits for big coalfish in colder climates.

Built with a high modulus carbon blank and featuring X-wrap carbon technology, this rod provides a strong backbone for launching heavy lures and securing a proper hookset, even from a great distance. The tip action of the rod provides excellent control, allowing the angler to work the lure effectively while maintaining a solid connection to the fish.

The rod is equipped with high-quality Fuji Alconite guides, which are known for their durability and smooth performance with both braided and monofilament lines. The ergonomically designed EVA handle is shaped for comfort during long hours of fishing and provides a solid, non-slip grip during intense fights.

As a travel rod, it breaks down into three pieces and comes with a durable Cordura travel tube, making it easy to transport without compromising on its performance or strength.
