The 2024 Shimano Poison Adrena 174HLM is a highly specialized casting rod designed for “Hard Bait” and “Large Moving Bait” applications. At Gerry’s Fishing, we identify the HLM (Heavy Low Modulus) as a unique beast in the Adrena lineup. Unlike the ultra-stiff, high-modulus carbon used in jig rods, this model utilizes a specific blend of carbon to create a more “forgiving” regular-fast action, making it the perfect tool for medium swimbaits, large crankbaits, and chatterbaits.
