The Shimano Aero X2 Pellet Waggler 11ft is arguably the most popular choice for the modern commercial match angler. At Gerry’s Fishing, we find the 11ft version to be the “golden middle” of the range—offering significantly more casting “poke” and line control than the 10ft model, while remaining much faster and easier to handle in a high-intensity session than a 12ft rod.

Built on a high-quality Full Carbon blank, the Aero X2 incorporates Diaflash technology. This cross-wrapped carbon tape layer reduces blank twist, which is critical when you are repeatedly “pinging” a pellet waggler to the same spot or “slapping” the float to attract fish. The 11ft length provides a superb compromise, giving you enough reach for mid-range work on larger lakes while staying short enough to be highly accurate when casting tight to islands.

The 11ft Pellet Waggler is an expertly tuned tool for modern commercial fishery tactics.

Standard Pellet Waggler Work: This rod is at home casting 6g to 10g wagglers between 20m and 35m. The lightweight blank allows you to “busy” the fish by repeatedly casting and feeding without tiring your arm over a long match.
Island Fishing: If you have an island at 25-30 yards, the 11ft length provides the perfect casting arc to tuck your float right into the overhanging cover where big Carp and F1s patrol.
