At Gerry’s Fishing, we know that jerkbait fishing is all about rhythm, and the Westin Jerk is designed to make that rhythm effortless. After years of development, Westin has delivered a lure that responds to the slightest twitch of the rod tip with a wide, provocative side-to-side glide.

Unlike many jerkbaits that require a heavy hand, the Westin Jerk “comes alive” with minimal effort. While it excels with traditional rod-work, it is so well-balanced that you can even work it directly through the reel, using a “stop-and-go” retrieve to create a erratic, panicking action. This Sinking version is your deep-water specialist, designed to get down to where the big pike are holding and stay in the strike zone longer.

The “Hang” and the Strike

The secret to the Westin Jerk’s success is the pause. By mixing in short and long pauses, you create an unpredictable “dying fish” movement. In the sinking version, the lure will slowly flutter down through the water column on the pause—this is almost always when the most violent strikes occur.

The 65g sinking model is a versatile weapon for several scenarios:

Deep Drop-Offs & Shelves: With a running depth of 1–3 meters, this lure is perfect for working along canal or river drop-offs where predators wait to ambush prey moving from shallow to deep water.
