Description
Garbolino Express Big Fish Cradle
The Garbolino Express Big Fish Cradle is a game-changer for commercial match and carp anglers who prioritize fish welfare and speed. Part of the “New Generation” of station accessories, this cradle eliminates the need for bulky, separate unhooking mats by attaching directly to your seatbox.
Featuring Garbolino’s innovative Multigrip Open system, it provides a rock-solid, legless support that can be positioned exactly where you need it—either to your side or directly in front. This allows you to transfer fish from the net to the cradle instantly, keeping them safe, off the ground, and calm while you unhook. It’s an essential bit of kit for “bagging” sessions where every second counts and fish safety is paramount.

Examples of Where to Use
-
Commercial Carpodromes: Specifically developed for landing and unhooking large Carp, Sturgeon, and Crucians safely and quickly.
-
High-Intensity Matches: Perfect for building big weights where having the fish at “working height” saves time and reduces back strain.
-
Compact Pegs: Ideal for wooden platforms or tight concrete banks where there isn’t enough flat ground to lay a traditional unhooking mat.
Pro Tip from Gerry’s Fishing
The Pre-Wetting Protocol: To ensure 100% fish safety, always give the waterproof cradle material a quick splash of lake water before you start fishing. Because the Express Big Fish Cradle is elevated, it can dry out faster than a mat on the grass. Keeping the surface slick and cool protects the fish’s vital mucus layer. Also, take advantage of the built-in inserts—you can hang your keepnet directly off the cradle bars to create a seamless “net-to-cradle-to-keepnet” workflow that is unbeatable for speed
