The Garbolino PTFE Puller Kit Slot is a premium, purpose-designed component for anglers looking to convert standard top kits into “Side Puller” systems. Unlike universal plastic alternatives, these are manufactured from 100% Pure PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), providing a frictionless surface that is essential for the smooth operation of modern elasticated pole setups.

These slots allow you to manually strip elastic from the side of your pole during the final stages of a fight, giving you much greater control over high-powered fish like commercial carp. Because they are made from pure PTFE, they eliminate the “judder” or sticking often felt with cheaper inserts, protecting your elastic from heat build-up and premature wear.

Key Performance Features

Zero-Friction Performance: Pure PTFE is one of the “slickest” materials available. This ensures that even under the extreme pressure of a large fish, the elastic glides effortlessly through the slot without catching or fraying.
Large Diameter Bore: With a 6mm internal bore, these slots are designed to accommodate the thickest hollow elastics on the market. It will comfortably handle elastics up to 5.6mm, making it ideal for “Power” top kits used on commercial carp venues.
Elastic Longevity: The smooth, rounded edges of the Garbolino design prevent the elastic from rubbing against the sharp raw edges of the carbon hole. This significantly extends the life of expensive hollow elastics.
Universal Fitment: While designed specifically for Garbolino poles, the symmetrical shape allows these to be fitted to almost any top kit from other manufacturers, provided there is enough diameter in the section to accommodate the slot.
Increased Control: By allowing you to “pull” the elastic back, you shorten the effective length of the elastic during the netting process, allowing you to land fish faster and with more precision.

Gerry’s Tip: When fitting these yourself, always use a high-speed dremel or a very fine round file to create the slot in your carbon. Once the hole is ready, a tiny drop of superglue gel on the outer rim of the PTFE (not the elastic path!) will lock it permanently into place. Make sure the slot is positioned about 20-30cm up from the base of the section to allow enough room for your hand to strip the elastic comfortably
