Description
Sunset Towel Sunwipe Microfiber – The Essential Angler’s Companion
The Sunset Sunwipe Microfiber Towel is a small but mighty addition to any tackle bag. Every seasoned angler knows that keeping your hands clean and dry isn’t just about comfort—it’s about maintaining a secure grip on your rod during a power cast and ensuring your reels don’t get caked in salt, slime, or bait juices.
At Gerry’s Fishing, we consider a high-quality towel a “must-have” rather than an optional extra. The Sunwipe is crafted from ultra-absorbent microfiber, designed to lift away stubborn bait residue and fish oils far more effectively than a standard cotton towel. Its compact size and integrated attachment system mean it’s always exactly where you need it, whether you’re standing in the surf or perched on a pier.
Practical & High-Performance Features
-
Ultra-Absorbent Microfiber: The advanced fiber weave is engineered to absorb multiple times its weight in water while drying significantly faster than traditional materials.
-
Integrated Carabiner Clip: Features a robust clip that allows you to attach the towel to your tripod, belt loop, seat box, or tackle bag. No more searching through pockets with dirty hands.
-
Fish-Handling Friendly: Soft enough to wipe away excess slime without damaging the fish’s protective coating if you need a quick hand-dry during a catch-and-release photo.
-
Compact & Lightweight: At 20x30cm, it provides ample surface area for cleaning without being bulky or dragging on the ground when clipped to your gear.
-
Durable Sunset Branding: Features the stylish Sunset logo, making it a perfect match for the rest of your Sunset shore fishing luggage.

Where to Use: Recommended Scenarios
The Sunwipe is versatile enough for every discipline, but it truly shines in these moments:
-
Baiting Up: Use it to quickly wipe away squid ink, mackerel oil, or lugworm “yellow” from your fingers before touching your expensive carbon rod or reel handle.
-
Night Fishing: When visibility is low, having the towel clipped to your Sunset Sunpod Tripod means you can find it by feel, keeping your hands dry and warm during cold winter sessions.
-
Lure Fishing: Perfect for drying your hands after handling a fish to ensure you have a “slip-free” grip on your lure rod for the next cast.
Gerry’s Pro Tip
Microfiber works best when it’s clean, so we recommend having two! Keep one clipped to your tripod for baiting and “dirty” work, and keep a second one inside your tackle box to dry your hands before handling your phone or camera. To keep the fibers “thirsty,” avoid using fabric softener when you wash it, as this can coat the fibers and reduce their absorbency
