Standard rigs can often “flutter” or lift in the tide, pulling your bait away from the strike zone. This rig features specialized 20cm booms, each weighted with 15g of lead. This added ballast ensures your snoods stay flat against the sand or mud, presenting your bait exactly where flatfish and scavengers are hunting. When fishing for Sole or Dabs, try adding a few small floating beads near the hook; the weight of the boom keeps the line down, while the beads give the bait just enough ‘flutter’ to catch the eye of a passing flatfish.”
