If you are using a quiver, these sleeves are brilliant because they allow you to keep your rods “primed”—meaning you can leave your rigs on and just fold the rod down. To make things even safer, we always recommend clipping a lead pouch to the outside of the reel area. This prevents the lead from banging against the carbon blank inside the sleeve during your walk to the swim!

Will it fit a rod with a 50mm butt ring?

Yes, absolutely. Solar has designed the Worldwide range with modern long-range rods in mind. There is ample width in the sleeve to accommodate 50mm rings without them feeling pinched.

Is there enough room for a huge Big Pit reel?

Definitely. The reel pouch is oversized and padded, specifically sculpted to fit high-capacity reels like the Shimano Power Aero or Daiwa Basia styles.

Can I clip multiple sleeves together?

While these are “Single” sleeves, they are designed with a slim profile so they can be easily bundled together or strapped to the outside of a Solar quiver or holdall using external tension straps.

How waterproof is the sleeve?

The 600D material is PU-backed, which provides excellent water resistance. It will keep your rod and reel dry during a heavy downpour, though like all fabric luggage, we recommend drying it out thoroughly once you get home to keep it in top condition.
