By wrapping your shelter, you create an incredibly efficient dual-layer thermal barrier. This system works around the clock: trapping vital warmth to increase heat retention during freezing winter sessions, blocking out harsh solar radiation to reduce heat transfer in the height of summer, and virtually eliminating internal condensation.

Crafted from Avid’s legendary 10,000mm hydrostatic head Khaki fabric, this wrap guarantees absolute waterproof protection in the face of driving rain and relentless gales. The intelligent design features an extended front peak wrap that extends your shelter’s front coverage by an extra 30cm, creating a valuable porch area to shield your doorway from head-on wind and rain.

Unlike standard overwraps that choke off airflow, the EXO+ RV Storm Cap Wrap is engineered with two dedicated zip-through access vents. This means you can fully operate your shelter’s rear vents from the inside or outside, keeping fresh air moving through the bivvy without sacrificing your weather protection.

Assembly & Fitting Instructions

Setting up the wrap is straightforward and can be easily managed by a single angler. For the best fit and stability, follow these chronological steps:

1.Locate Front Peak Connections:Step 1.

Begin at the front of your erected EXO+ RV Shelter. Locate the storm cap poles and insert them securely into the front peak poles of the main bivvy frame.

2.Drape the Wrap:Step 2.

Unroll the wrap and carefully pull the heavy-duty fabric over the top of the shelter from front to back, ensuring it aligns centrally over the frame.

3.Secure Loops and Pegging Points:Step 3.

Walk around the shelter to attach the elasticated loops to their respective frame points. Once aligned, insert the supplied heavy-duty pegs through the base pegging points to anchor the wrap to the deck.

4.Final Tensioning:Step 4.

Using the storm poles supplied with your primary EXO+ RV bivvy, apply upward and outward tension to lock the entire structure into place, ensuring the fabric is drum-tight to shed water efficiently.

Pro Tip: When targeting big carp in damp, freezing winter conditions or high-humidity spring nights, condensation can become a real nightmare. Fitting this wrap creates a dead-air insulation gap between the two layers of fabric. No. The EXO+ RV Storm Cap Wrap is a complete, standalone overwrap solution designed to sit directly over the bare EXO+ RV Shelter. It cannot be used in conjunction with standard Storm Caps or Extension Caps.

Does it come with its own poles?

The wrap utilizes the existing framework of your EXO+ RV Shelter and the storm poles that come with your main bivvy for final tensioning. It is supplied with the fabric wrap, heavy-duty ground pegs, and a dedicated carry bag.

How much extra space does it add to the bivvy setup?

While it fits snugly over the main body of the bivvy to maximize heat retention, it extends the front peak coverage forward by 30cm. This creates an invaluable “visor” or mini-porch that stops rain from blowing directly into the open doorway when you’re watching the water.
