Product Details and Uses

The #7/8 size specifically is built and balanced for that precise line weight, matched to the size of fish and casting demands typically associated with a #7/8 outfit, from delicate trout work at the lighter end of the range through to genuinely powerful stillwater and saltwater applications at the top.

The Greys Pace Cassette takes the proven performance of the Pace platform and adds maximum versatility. Sharing the same die-cast aluminium frame, bar-stock drag core, and multi-pad disc drag as the standard model, the Cassette version allows fast, secure spool changes using an innovative push-on / push-off retention system. Each reel includes two additional spare cassette spools, making it easy to carry multiple lines or sink rates without the cost, bulk, or weight of extra metal spools. Lightweight, durable, and simple to use, the Pace Cassette is the smart, adaptable choice for anglers who like to cover every situation.

FAQs

What makes this specific size different from others in the range?
It’s built around its own stated length and weight rating (Greys Pace #7/8 Cassette Fly Reel), matched to a specific style of fishing rather than being a generic catch-all size.

Does this size share the same core technology as the rest of the range?
Yes, the blank/reel technology, materials and features are shared across the whole range; what differs by size is the casting weight, length or capacity, and therefore the technique and target fish it’s best matched to.
