Description
Nash Scope OPS Rods – Olive Duplon and Dark Cork
The Scope OPS range is Nash’s extended line of premium Scope rods, built on 30 tonne high modulus carbon, low resin blanks with a 1k Toray external weave for crisp recovery and attractive playing curves through every test curve. A 45° multi-directional fibre reinforcement reduces twist and lateral distortion, focusing energy into precise recovery from heavy loading for better casting distance and accuracy.
There’s a handle to suit every preference, with abbreviated Black Duplon, Olive Duplon and Dark Cork options. The range covers everything from a 6ft 3.5lb for the biggest carp up to 3.75lb and 4lb models in 9ft and 10ft lengths for heavy leads, strong flows and big PVA bags or Dot Spods. Jermaine Hull has cast both the 3.75lb and 4lb over 200 yards in testing, and those heavier curves also suit giant catfish, predator or sea fishing.

Where To Use It
- Heavy-lead and strong-flow fishing — The 3.75lb and 4lb models have the power for the heaviest leads and boating baits at distance.
- Big PVA bags and Dot Spods — Heavier test curves handle the largest PVA bags and Dot Spods.
- Short-rod casting at range — Both the 3.75lb and 4lb have been cast over 200 yards in testing.
- Giant catfish, predator and sea fishing — The heaviest curves offer uncompromising performance for these tougher applications.
Gerry’s Fishing Pro Tip: Choose your handle for how you fish. Dark Cork feels natural and classic in the hand, while the Duplon options are the easy-clean choice if your rods spend plenty of time in the mud.
