N-Trap Soft features a tough, matte-finish coating that is incredibly easy to strip back with your fingernails or a stripping tool, yet it remains durable enough to withstand the “G-force” of a long cast. Inside, you’ll find a rugged, high-grade Dyneema braid that has been specifically color-matched to the outer coating. This ensures that even when you strip back a section for a hinge, the entire rig maintains a consistent, “stealth” profile that won’t spook wary fish.

After tying your rig, hold it under tension over a steaming kettle for just 2 seconds. The coating will “set” perfectly straight, creating a much more efficient boom that kicks the bait away from the lead every single time.

While you can use your fingernails, we recommend a dedicated stripping tool to ensure you don’t nick the inner Dyneema fibers. N-Trap is designed to be “easy-strip,” so it shouldn’t require excessive force.

Which color is the most versatile?

If you aren’t sure what the lake bed looks like, Weedy Green is the safest bet. Most lakes have at least some algae or silk weed, and this neutral green blends in surprisingly well even on darker silt.

Can I use this for Chod Rigs?

No. N-Trap Soft is a supple coated braid. For Chod rigs or Hinged Stiff rigs, you need a high-memory mono like Korda Mouthtrap. N-Trap is designed for bottom bait and wafter presentations where a bit of movement is required.

How many rigs can I get from one spool?

Each spool contains 20 metres of material. Depending on the length of your rigs, you can typically expect to tie between 60 and 80 rigs per spool, making it very cost-effective for the serious angler.
