Product Details and Uses

• Model Name/Type: Prorex S Baitcast (PXS802MHFB-BS)
• Target Species/Technique: This rod has a Medium-Heavy (MH) power and is ideally suited for:
  • General Predator Fishing: It’s a versatile choice for larger predatory fish, particularly Pike and bigger Zander (Pike-perch), as well as large Black Bass.
  • Lure Applications: Best used with medium to large-sized lures within the $10\text{g}\text{ to }40\text{g}$ range. This includes:
    • Standard-sized soft plastic lures (shads, grubs) rigged on jig heads.
    • Medium-sized spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.
    • Mid-to-deep diving crankbaits and swimbaits.
  • Baitcasting Specific: The rod is equipped with a trigger-style reel seat to lock in a baitcasting reel and is excellent for anglers who prefer the control and accuracy of a baitcaster, especially for fishing lures with precision.
• Blank Technology: The blank provides a balance of sensitivity and power:
  • HVF (High Volume Fibre) Carbon: Features a high-quality carbon construction with a low resin content, resulting in a blank that is slim, lightweight, and stiff. This enhances casting performance and reduces angler fatigue.
  • Action: The rod has a Fast action, offering a sensitive tip for detecting subtle strikes and manipulating lures, backed up by significant power in the butt section for effective hook-sets and fighting hard-pulling fish.
• Components and Ergonomics:
  • Reel Seat: Ergonomically shaped reel seat with a Trigger Grip for optimal comfort and control when casting and retrieving with a baitcasting reel.
  • Guides: Equipped with premium Seaguide Guides featuring Zirconia inlays. These guides minimize line friction, improving casting distance and durability, particularly with braided line.
  • Handle: A combined Cork/EVA handle (often a split grip design) provides a comfortable, secure grip.
  • Hook Keeper: Includes a hook keeper for convenient lure storage while moving.
