By eliminating the “judder” associated with inferior plastic bushes, these ensure your elastic can react to every lunge of a fish, protecting your rig and providing maximum control.

Pro Tip: When fitting these bushes, always use a fine-tooth junior hacksaw or a dedicated pole-cutting tool to take back your top kit. Cut the pole section back a few millimeters at a time until the bush is a “snug” push-fit. For a permanent, wobble-free finish, a tiny drop of superglue on the side of the bush before insertion will lock it in place—just be careful not to get any glue inside the bore!

Are these internal or external bushes?

These are Internal Bushes. They are designed to fit inside the end of your pole tip. This provides a much neater finish than external “hat” style bushes and prevents the elastic from catching on the rim of the pole during the retrieve.

Do I need to lubricate the bush?

While the PTFE material is “Super Slick” by nature, we still recommend using a dedicated liquid elastic lubricant on your Bungee. The combination of high-grade PTFE and lubricant ensures the fastest possible retraction, which is vital when you need to ship back quickly.

How do I know which size to buy?

The bushes are sized to match the Drennan Bungee range. For example, the Green/Blue bushes fit lighter elastics, while the Pink/Red/Orange sizes are bored out specifically for the thickest hollow elastics. Always choose a bush with an internal diameter slightly larger than your elastic to allow for “knot clearance.”
