Gerry’s Top Tip: The 12ft Power model is a fantastic “long-range” tool, but to get the best distance, pair it with a reel that has a slightly larger, shallower spool. This reduces the friction of the line hitting the first “butt guide” during the cast. Since this is a 2-section rod, it’s quite long when broken down, so make sure you use a 1.90m+ holdall (like the Sunset Sunpack Surfsport) to keep it fully protected during transport
