Garbolino Eva Pro Cooler Bag | 17L Insulated Bait Station
The Compact Powerhouse for Bait Freshness
If you’re a day-session angler who doesn’t need to carry a mountain of gear but still demands the highest level of bait protection, the Garbolino Eva Pro Cooler Bag is your new best friend. Here at Gerry’s Fishing, we’ve found the 17L version to be the “sweet spot” for most UK match and pleasure sessions—large enough for your daily essentials, yet compact enough to sit neatly on a side tray or under a seat box.
The standout feature of the Pro series is the bright white EVA finish. While green or black bags soak up heat like a sponge, this white exterior actively reflects the sun’s rays, keeping your maggots, casters, and worms chilled even on those rare scorching summer afternoons. Inside, the seamless molded interior means there are no stitches to trap old bait or grime. If you spill some molasses or worm soil, you can literally just rinse it out and wipe it dry in seconds.
Packed with high-insulating PE foam in the walls and the lid, this cooler offers professional-grade thermal retention in a portable, rugged package.

Where to Use the Garbolino Eva Pro 17L
This 17L model is perfect for the mobile or tactical angler:
-
Match Fishing Side Trays: The footprint is ideal for keeping your hookbaits and small tubs of “chopped” worms cool right next to you without taking up the whole tray.
-
Canal & River Roving: Lightweight and easy to carry via the shoulder strap when you’re moving between pegs looking for Chub or Perch.
-
Commercial Day Sessions: Easily holds 4-6 large bait tubs plus a couple of bags of expander pellets, keeping them at a stable temperature all day.
-
The “Lunch & Bait” Combo: Perfect for the solo angler who wants to keep a few pints of maggots and their own sandwiches in one chilled, waterproof location.
💡 Gerry’s Pro Tip
“For a standard 5-hour match, don’t over-egg the ice. One small frozen 500ml water bottle in the corner is all this 17L bag needs to stay frosty. Because of the PE foam insulation, the air stays cold, and as the bottle thaws, you’ve got a cold drink for the drive home! Also, if you’re fishing a deep-water venue with heavy groundbait, keep your pre-mixed balls in here to stop the sun from ‘crusting’ the edges and changing your mix consistency.”
Frequently Asked Questions
How much bait does the 17L hold compared to the XXL?
The 17L is roughly half the size of the XXL. It is designed for a single day’s fishing, comfortably holding around 6 to 8 standard large bait tubs. If you are doing a 3-day festival, you might want the XXL; for a Sunday club match, this 17L is perfect.
Is it easy to clean if I spill fish oil or liquid attractants?
Yes, that’s the beauty of the seamless molded interior. There are no seams or stitching for liquids to hide in. A quick blast with a hose or a wipe with a damp cloth and it’s as good as new—no lingering smells!
Can I use it for my catch?
Absolutely. If you’re taking a few trout or sea fish home, the 17L is a great ‘catch bag’ because it won’t leak in the boot of your car and is easily sanitized afterward.
Is the shoulder strap removable?
The strap is adjustable and heavy-duty, though generally fixed to the reinforced mounts. However, it can be tucked away easily if you prefer to use the carry handles
