The Garbolino Fighter Hi-Stretch is a premium hollow elastic engineered for the technical match angler who requires maximum cushioning and “reach.” While other elastics focus on raw power, the Fighter Hi-Stretch is all about the coefficient of expansion. With an incredible stretch rating of 600% to 700%, this elastic allows fish to move away from the pole tip with minimal resistance initially, significantly reducing the risk of “hook-pulls” or “bumping” fish—especially when using fine wires and light hooklengths.

Gerry’s Pro Tip

The Fighter Hi-Stretch is all about finesse. If you find you’re “bumping” fish on the strike with your usual power elastic, switch to this. Because it stretches so far (up to 7 times its length!), you might need to use a Puller Kit to help you shorten the elastic when it comes time to net the fish. Pro Tip: When fitting this elastic, leave it slightly “slack” in the pole. Because of the high stretch, if you tension it too tight, you lose the “forgiveness” that makes this elastic so special in the first place
