30/40 Ton Tensile Carbon & Progressive Power

At the heart of the N-Gauge Specimen family is a high-grade blank constructed from a precision blend of 30 and 40 Ton tensile strength carbon. This advanced carbon matrix ensures each rod remains incredibly light, responsive, and perfectly balanced in the hand, eliminating the heavy, clumsy feel common in traditional specimen blanks.

Engineered with an Overcap Progressive Power Action, these rods are designed to bend smoothly throughout the entire blank. As a large fish pulls harder, the rod transitions power seamlessly down into the middle and butt sections, gaining strength progressively. This deep, forgiving cushion absorbs violent lunges and head-shakes under the rod tip, protecting fine hooklengths while giving you total control over hard-fighting specimens.

Dual Tip Adaptability & Multi-Disciplines

The Avallon/Tubular Top: A single, continuous tubular tip section that provides a smooth, progressive curve. This section is optimized for traditional float fishing, surface fishing, or heavy ledgering where visual bite registration at the rod tip isn’t required.
The Quiver Top: A carrier section supplied with two additional push-in carbon quiver tips. These quivers are precision-balanced to match the test curve of the blank, providing ultra-sensitive, mechanical bite registration when feeder fishing on rivers or still waters.
