Will this refill fit other brands of PVA tubes?

While specifically designed for the Guru Speedmesh system, it will fit most standard-diameter PVA tubes. However, for the smoothest “compression” and loading, we recommend using it with the genuine Guru hardware.

Is it suitable for deep water?

Yes. While it is “fast melt,” it is designed to hold together during the descent. If you are fishing in exceptionally deep water (over 20ft), we recommend “double-bagging” or compressing the bait extra tight to slow the breakdown by just a few seconds.

Can I use it with maggots?

Absolutely. The micro-mesh weave is fine enough to keep maggots contained. Just make sure the maggots are dry; if they are damp or sweating, they may start to react with the PVA prematurely.

Does it come with the plunger?

No. This is a 5m refill spool only. You will need the original Speedmesh tube and plunger to use this effectively.
