The Nytro Impax MK2 4000 is the ultimate “all-rounder” in the MK2 lineup. Designed for the angler who needs a versatile workhorse, this reel balances perfectly on modern 10ft, 11ft, and 12ft rods. It strikes the ideal middle ground—offering more cranking power than the 3000 size for larger fish, while remaining lighter and more nimble than the 5000 for frequent casting.

The standout feature of the MK2 series is the slow oscillation system. This ensures the line is wound onto the spool with incredible precision, preventing “bedding in” and allowing the line to fly off the spool with minimal resistance. Combined with the semi-shallow aluminum spool, you get a setup that is optimized for modern high-performance braids and monos, ensuring you hit your target every time without the need for miles of backing.

Under the hood, the Impax MK2 4000 is built for longevity. A 5+1 stainless steel ball bearing system provides a smooth-as-silk retrieve, while the reinforced stainless steel main shaft ensures the reel won’t flex or fail when you’re playing hard-fighting commercial carp or heavy bream.

Where to Use the Impax MK2 4000

Commercial Feeder Fishing: This is the perfect partner for Method, Hybrid, or pellet feeder work at mid-range (30m–50m). It has the winding power to bring in fish quickly and the finesse to handle light hooklinks.
Pellet Waggler: Thanks to its balanced weight, it sits perfectly on shorter waggler rods, providing the rapid retrieve speed needed for “busy” sessions where you are constantly casting and reeling.
