The C5000A is the flagship size of this series, engineered for “crossover” performance. This means it is equally capable of battling double-figure Pike in freshwater as it is handling hard-fighting Bass and Pollack in the salt.

The “HD” designation isn’t just a label; it represents a complete internal overhaul. The reel features HDG-II (High-Density Gearing) with an oversized drive gear that is approximately 7% larger than standard models. This provides a massive increase in cranking power and durability. Furthermore, the screw-in aluminum handle design eliminates the “play” often found in traditional pass-through handles, giving you a direct, solid connection to the gears.
