The core of this rod’s performance is the Solid Spiral Armor blank technology. Unlike traditional hollow-core rods, this blank is solid throughout, allowing for an incredibly slim profile that possesses brute strength. This solid construction results in a smooth, continuous “parabolic” bend that acts as a massive shock absorber. When an electric reel is grinding a 1kg lead up from 400 meters, this blank absorbs the vibration and pressure that would snap a standard hollow rod tip.

At 2.10m (6′ 11″), this model is slightly shorter than the 2.29m version, which is a massive advantage when fishing from smaller boats or in tight “stand-up” scenarios. It provides superior leverage, moving the center of gravity closer to the angler and making it easier to control large fish. “The 2.10m length is the ‘sweet spot’ for leverage. Because this rod is a bit shorter than the standard 7’6″ boat rods, it puts much less strain on your lower back when you’re fighting a fish from the deep. My advice? Don’t be fooled by the slim diameter of the solid blank—it’s stronger than any hollow rod in the shop. When you’re using an electric reel, set your drag to be slightly more forgiving; the solid blank will bend right through to the handle to keep the hook set, even if the fish makes a violent run at depth!”
