The PENN® Clash™ II 4000 is a highly capable and robust spinning reel, often considered the classic all-around size for inshore, pier, and light nearshore fishing. It is designed to handle a variety of medium-sized saltwater species, such as larger Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Snook, and smaller Tarpon or Cobia.

Built with a Full Metal Body and Sideplate, the Clash II 4000 provides superior structural rigidity, eliminating frame flex and ensuring that the gears remain perfectly aligned even when fighting heavy-pulling fish. Its smooth and powerful operation is anchored by CNC Gear™ Technology, featuring a precision-cut brass pinion and aluminum main gear for long-lasting durability and precision.

The stopping power comes from the legendary HT-100™ Carbon Fiber Drag System, delivering a solid maximum drag of 15 lbs. The reel is designed for all-weather performance, incorporating the Clutch Armor System with seals around the rotor and pinion gear, along with a Hydrophobic Line Roller Bearing to prevent saltwater intrusion into critical components. The Leveline® Slow Oscillation System ensures the line is laid on the spool perfectly, enhancing casting distance and accuracy.
