The XRC carbon-infused body and rotor provide incredible rigidity to keep gears perfectly aligned under load while making the reel feel balanced on even the lightest high-modulus surf rods.
X-Slow Leveline Technology: The standout feature for distance seekers. This system achieves more than 50 wraps of line per single spool oscillation, creating a near-perfect, parallel line lay. This reduces friction as the line peels off the spool, adding vital yards to your cast and reducing the risk of wind knots.
Rocket Spool Design: Specifically tapered and shaped for high-speed line release, the Rocket Spool ensures the line leaves the reel with minimal resistance, making effortless distance a reality for every caster.

Gerry’s Pro Tip

“The 7000 size is the ‘finesse’ king of the Tidal range. Because it’s so light, it balances beautifully on the PENN Tidal XT 423 or 453 rods. We highly recommend using the shallow line reducers if you are spooling up with thin braid (around 0.14mm – 0.18mm). It ensures the braid sits perfectly at the lip of the spool for maximum casting efficiency without needing hundreds of meters of expensive backing line
