Description
The Preston Innovations Monster Xtreme Distance Feeder 3.3m – 100g is built for extreme power, long-range casting, and controlling heavy payloads in a compact 11ft format. Constructed around an ultra-powerful high-torque carbon blank, this model delivers massive casting leverage to launch heavy Method feeders, distance window feeders, and weighted cage setups beyond 50 metres with pin-point accuracy.
Equipped with oversized distance guides, an extended power handle, and a secure screw-down reel seat, it provides the brute lifting force required to tame double-figure commercial carp and steer powerful fish away from bankside snags.

Key Features & Performance
-
100g Casting Backbone: Engineered to handle massive feeder payloads up to 100g, allowing you to cast oversized Method feeders packed with pellets effortlessly into head-winds.
-
Compact Distance Leverage: The 3.3m length combines the maneuverability and accuracy of an 11ft rod with the casting power typically reserved for 13ft distance blanks.
-
Oversized Distance Guides: Fitted with extra-large guide rings that drastically minimize line friction, allowing heavy monofilaments, braided mainlines, and shockleader knots to sail through cleanly.
-
Elongated Power Handle: Features an extended lower handle design that provides maximum leverage during the casting arc, ensuring the stiff lower blank compresses fully.
-
Specimen Stopping Power: Built with immense reserves of power through the middle and lower sections to bully hard-fighting carp away from margin ropes, aeration units, and snags.
Ideal Applications
-
Heavy Payload Method & Window Feeder Tactics: Perfect for casting heavy 50g–80g Method, Hybrid, or window feeders loaded with dense groundbait or micro pellets.
-
Medium-to-Long Distance Commercial Fishing: Ideal for hitting 45m–50m+ features on large commercial lakes, open-water reservoirs, and big rivers.
-
Specimen Commercial Carp: Designed specifically for venues holding large carp in double figures where maximum hook-holding leverage and stopping power are essential.
Pro Tip
Unlocking Full 100g Compression: To maximize distance with the 3.3m 100g model, pair it with a 5000-size wide-spool feeder reel loaded with 0.12mm braided mainline and a 12lb monofilament shockleader. Take full advantage of the elongated handle by gripping the bottom foam firmly and driving a fast, explosive “push-pull” stroke—the compressed lower blank will punch heavy feeders through cross-winds without losing trajectory.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main difference between the 3.0m (80g) and 3.3m (100g) Monster Xtreme models?
The 3.3m 100g model offers an extra foot of leverage and an increased casting rating of 100g (compared to 80g on the 3.0m version). This makes the 3.3m superior for longer distances (45m–50m+) and casting heavier, fully loaded Method feeders in strong winds.
Can this rod pass thick shockleader knots through the guides easily?
Yes. The large oversized distance guide set is explicitly proportioned to allow heavy mono shockleaders (up to 12lb–15lb) and braid-to-mono leader knots to pass through smoothly without catching or causing wrap-overs.
Is this rod too stiff for playing smaller carp or F1s?
While the 100g rating gives it significant power for heavy feeders and big fish, the progressive blank design still flexes under load. However, for targeting smaller skimmers or F1s exclusively, a standard Monster XS model is recommended.
