The Shimano Aero 4000 is the most popular size in the Aero range, offering a perfect balance of power and agility. At Gerry’s Fishing, we consider this the “gold standard” for the modern match angler. It is large enough to handle mid-to-long range feeder fishing for carp and bream, yet light enough to balance perfectly on an 11ft or 12ft pellet waggler rod.

Built with a high-strength XT-7 G-Free body, the reel houses Shimano’s elite Hagane Gear and X-Ship technology. This ensures that even when you are cranking in heavy feeders or battling double-figure carp, the internal components remain in perfect alignment, providing a smooth and powerful retrieve. The addition of Silent Drive technology eliminates even the smallest vibrations, giving you a tactile, connected feel to your rig.
