Will this fit the smaller 230g gas canisters?

While designed for the larger 450g/500g “standard” canisters, it will fit the smaller ones, though there will be a bit of extra room at the top. For the best thermal performance, we recommend using it with the larger canisters it was tailored for.

Does it actually make the stove faster?

In cold weather, yes! When gas gets cold, the pressure drops. By keeping the canister insulated, the gas stays in a more gaseous state, allowing for a more efficient and powerful burn, which boils your water much faster.

Is it easy to clean?

Absolutely. If you spill a bit of soup or tea on it, the 600D material is very forgiving. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is usually all it takes. The PVC base can be hosed off if it gets muddy.

Is it a fire hazard?

The cosy is designed to be used while the canister is attached to the stove. However, as with all gas equipment, always ensure there is a clear gap between the burner flame and the fabric of the cosy.
