Whether you are performing a massive pendulum cast from the beach or dropping large baits into deep water, this elastic ensures your presentation remains intact and aerodynamic.

This elastic is incredibly discreet, designed to be virtually invisible once applied, ensuring that even the most “line-shy” fish aren’t spooked. Packaged on a generous 200m spool, it offers fantastic value for money and fits easily into any tackle box or seat box side tray.

Choosing Your Diameter

0.10mm (Fine/Fragile): This is the “surgeon’s tool” of bait elastics. It is specifically designed for delicate, soft baits like Blow Lugworm, Maddies (Harbour Rag), Mussels, and delicate Peeler Crab. It provides enough pressure to secure the bait without “cutting through” and ruining the presentation.
0.20mm (Medium/Heavy): When it’s time to size up, the 0.20mm is the workhorse. This is perfect for securing tougher, bulkier baits such as Squid mantles, Cuttlefish, Mackerel fillets, and large “Pennel” rigs for Cod or Bass. It provides the clamping force needed to survive high-impact casts with heavy baits.

Where & How to Use It

Long-Range Shore Casting: If you are “giving it the beans” to reach a distant sandbank, bait elastic is mandatory. It prevents your bait from sliding down the hook or flying off mid-air due to centrifugal force.
Hybrid “Cocktail” Baits: Use the 0.10mm to lash a piece of tipped squid onto a lugworm. This creates a neat, streamlined “sausage” that is much more aerodynamic and stays together even when small fish are nibbling at it.
Protecting Soft Baits from Crabs: By wrapping your bait tightly, you make it much harder for crabs to pull it off the hook. It forces them to work harder, giving the fish more time to find your bait first.
Pennel Rigging: When using a two-hook Pennel set-up for big predators, use the 0.20mm elastic to bridge the gap between the hooks, ensuring the bait doesn’t “bunch up” at the bottom hook.

“Don’t over-wrap! A few tight turns are better than fifty loose ones. You want the bait to look natural, not like a mummy. If you’re using the 0.10mm on worms, just a few wraps around the ‘head’ and the hook eye is usually enough to keep it perfectly straight during a 100-yard cast
