The Sunset Boat Rig RS Competition Sea Bream Special is a high-finesse, professional-grade trace designed specifically for the wary nature of Sparidae (Black Bream, Giltheads, Couch’s Bream, and Red Porgy). Sparidae are notorious for their excellent eyesight and “picky” feeding habits; this rig counters those defenses with an extra-long 160cm body and 100% fluorocarbon snoods. The increased length of the snoods (50cm) allows the bait to move more naturally in the current, enticing a strike from even the most cautious fish.

At Gerry’s Fishing, we recommend this rig for “light support” boat fishing. While designed for Bream, its subtle presentation makes it equally effective for Sea Bass and large Mullet when fishing over wrecks, reefs, or shell beds.
