Ultra-Quick Setup: The most prominent feature of the Avid Exo is its speed. It utilizes a patented central boss and a self-locating pole system that allows the entire bivvy to be erected in a matter of seconds. This is a massive advantage in adverse weather conditions or when you’re arriving at your swim late.
Innovative Frame Design: The bivvy’s frame is built around a unique EXO boss. The poles have self-locating elbows that snap into place as you push them out, eliminating the need to search for pole ends and fiddly connections. This results in a super-fast and effortless setup and pack-down.
High-Quality, Weatherproof Fabric: The bivvy is constructed from a robust, 20,000mm hydrostatic head khaki brown EX fabric. This material is highly waterproof, ensuring you stay dry in even the most torrential rain. The fabric also features a blackout treatment for a darker interior, which is excellent for rest.
Optimized Internal Space: The design of the Exo features a high, flat back, which maximizes the internal floor space and headroom. This allows you to position your bedchair further back, providing more room at the front for your luggage and other gear.
Integrated Peak: The bivvy comes with an integrated peak that provides a good level of rain protection over the front door. This helps to prevent rain from dripping into the bivvy when the door is open.
Comprehensive Ventilation: The bivvy is equipped with multiple camo mosquito vents. These are typically located on the sides and at the rear, allowing for excellent airflow to prevent condensation and keep you cool in warm weather.
Versatile Front Panel: The front infill panel offers two door options: a solid, fully waterproof door and a camo mesh door. The main door itself is often a “split oversized letterbox” design, giving you flexibility for entry and exit.
Complete System: The bivvy is sold as a complete system, including a heavy-duty groundsheet with a letterbox flap, two robust storm poles, a fabric tension strap, and a bespoke carry bag.
