The “Dry-Zone” Strategy: In the winter, use the Extension Cap as your “wet area.” Keep your boots, wet coats, and bait buckets in the porch, and keep the main EXO capsule for your bedchair and electronics. By keeping the moisture in the extension, you’ll significantly reduce condensation in your sleeping area, making those freezing nights much more comfortable.

Does this replace the front of my EXO bivvy?

No, it sits over the front. You can actually leave the front panel of your main EXO zipped in for a “two-room” apartment feel, or remove it to create one massive, open-plan tunnel.

Is it hard to set up alone?

Not at all. Once the support bars are in place, the Extension Cap simply pulls over the front of the bivvy and pegs down. It adds maybe 5 minutes to your total setup time.

Can I use the side doors for a “link” setup?

Yes. The dual side doors are great for positioning your barrow or even parking a second small bivvy next to it for a shared social area.

Does it help with condensation?

Massively. By creating a porch, you’re essentially adding a huge “buffer zone” between the outside air and your sleeping quarters, which helps stabilize the internal temperature.
