Tired of hook-pulls right at the net or “crack-offs” during a savage take? The Nytro Feeder Gum Links are your ultimate insurance policy. Designed to act like a bungee cord for your terminal tackle, these links provide the essential “give” needed when fishing with zero-stretch braided lines or when targeting hard-fighting fish on delicate hooklengths.
Built using high-performance 0.8mm Power Gum, these links are finished to an incredibly high standard. Each one features premium Connex swivels—a smooth rolling swivel on one end for your mainline and a quick-change swivel on the other for your hooklength. Neatly finished with black heat-shrink tubing to prevent tangles and snags, these links are a must-have for the serious feeder angler’s armory.
Essential Shock Absorption: The 0.8mm Power Gum cushions the initial “bolt” of a fish and the final lunges at the net, significantly reducing lost fish.
Braid Specialist: If you use braided mainline, these are non-negotiable. They provide the “stretch” that braid lacks, protecting your knots and your hook-hold.
Quick-Change Convenience: The integrated Connex quick-change swivel allows you to swap hooklengths in seconds without re-tying.
Tangle-Resistant Finish: The black heat-shrink tubing covers all knots and swivel eyes, creating a streamlined “anti-snag” profile.
Precision Factory Tied: Guaranteed consistency in length and knot strength, so you can fish with total confidence.

Distance Bream Fishing: Essential on large reservoirs. When you’re winding in from 60m+ with braid, the gum link stops the hook from “tearing” out of the Bream’s soft mouth.
River Barbel & Chub: Perfect for those heart-stopping “three-bellied” wraps. The gum absorbs the violent initial strike, saving your hooklength from snapping under the G-force.
Commercial Carp Tactics: Use the 4″ version with a Hybrid or Method feeder to provide a small but vital buffer when a double-figure carp thrashes in the margins.
Natural Venues with Light Gear: Allows you to scale down to ultra-fine hooklengths (0.10mm or lower) for wary silverfish while still having the protection to land a “bonus” big fish.
“The most common question we get at Gerry’s is: ‘Which length do I need?’ As a rule of thumb, go for the 4-inch link for most commercial carp and silverfish work where you want a direct feel. If you’re fishing big rivers or distance reservoirs for Bream, move up to the 6-inch version. That extra bit of gum provides a much larger safety margin when the fish are at their most dangerous—right at the net!”
Q: How do I attach this to my rig?
A: Simply thread your mainline through the rolling swivel at the top. For a standard running rig, the feeder sits above the gum link, and your hooklength attaches to the quick-change swivel at the bottom.
Q: Does the 0.8mm gum affect my casting?
A: Not at all. Because of the streamlined heat-shrink finish, these links are very aerodynamic. They actually help prevent “shock” breakages on the cast when using heavy feeders.
Q: Is feeder gum safe for the fish?
A: Absolutely. When used as part of a running rig, the feeder can slide off the mainline in the event of a break, leaving the fish with only the hooklength and the gum link, which is much safer than towing a heavy weight.
Q: Can I use this with monofilament mainline?
A: Yes! While it’s a ‘life-saver’ for braid, many anglers use it with mono too, especially when they need to fish very light hooklinks for finicky fish in the winter.
