Product Details and Uses
- Model Name/Type: Prorex S Spin (Heavy/Extra Heavy Power)
- Target Species/Technique: This rod is categorized as a Heavy (H) or Extra Heavy (XH) power spinning rod, making it a specialist tool for:
- Casting very large and heavy lures, such as big swimbaits, jerkbaits, and oversized shads (often up to 25cm or more).
- Tackling the largest predator fish, most notably big Pike and potentially heavy-duty applications for species like Catfish or other large freshwater/coastal predators.
- Fishing in conditions where large, heavy lures are necessary to reach depth or cover large distances, such as fishing from boats on large lakes or from shore.
- Blank Technology: The blank is built for power and responsiveness:
- HVF (High Volume Fibre) Carbon: The construction features high-quality carbon with a low resin content. This creates a powerful, slim, and stiff blank that can handle the stress of casting heavy lures and fighting large fish.
- Action: It has a Fast to Extra Fast action, which provides a rigid backbone for setting the hook and fighting heavy fish, while still having a responsive tip section to aid in accurately casting and working large lures.
- Components and Ergonomics:
- Guides: Equipped with high-quality Seaguide Guides with Zirconia rings. These guides are lightweight to enhance blank performance and durable enough for use with strong braided lines.
- Reel Seat: Features an Ergonomic Reel Seat designed to allow the angler direct contact with the blank for maximum feel and comfort during extended casting and retrieving sessions.
- Handle: The handle is constructed from Cork/EVA (often a split grip), ensuring a firm, non-slip grip when battling large, powerful fish.
- Hook Keeper: Includes a hook keeper for secure lure attachment during transport.
