The Purist PX1 is the ultimate rod for deadbait fishing. These rods are available in two practical models, in lengths of 10 and 12ft. Both rods have a great deep bend, giving precision and casting power, and the whole thing is accentuated by a great classic look, finished with a cork handle.
At the heart of the Purist PX1 Deadbait rod is a full carbon blank with high modulus, designed to generate the power needed to beat hard-fighting fish. At the same time, thanks to its progressive action, the rod dampens sudden departures and aggressive “jerking” of the head, absolutely minimising the chance of snatching the hook from the fish’s mouth.
Such a construction, additionally armed with two-metre Shimano Hardlite guides, offers great casting characteristics with a dead fish or classic ground bait. Both models are equipped with a classic cork handle and a specially designed, ergonomic DPS-type reel handle. At the same time, the two-piece construction makes transporting and storing the rods extremely easy.
