The Inova Snag Clip/Link is a specialized piece of terminal tackle designed for sea and beach anglers who fish over rough ground and need to minimize tackle loss due to snags.

It serves a dual purpose as both a bait clip and a rotten bottom clip.

Key Features and Functionality

Combined Bait Clip and Rotten Bottom: The Snag Clip/Link allows you to create a “rotten bottom” rig that is also streamlined for casting.
The Rotten Bottom Principle:
- One side of the clip is used to attach your sinker/lead weight using a short length of weak nylon line (the “rotten bottom”).
- The other side of the clip is used to clip down your hook for aerodynamic casting.
- If your lead becomes snagged on the seabed, the pressure of a fish (or a retrieve pull) will snap the weak line, allowing you to sacrifice the lead but still reel in your rig and, more importantly, the fish.
Streamlined Casting: By clipping the hook down to the link, the rig becomes more aerodynamic, allowing for longer casting distances.
Strength: The main clip/link is heavy-duty, rated to a high breaking strain (typically 40kg / 88lb test), ensuring it holds up to fighting a fish, even after the lead has snapped off.
Note on Casting Style: The product is generally NOT designed for extreme casting styles like the pendulum or overhead thump (OTG) casts, as the weak link may break prematurely under the immense force.
