This is the freshwater-optimized version of the legendary Kanata, specifically tuned with colors and hardware to target specimen Pike, Zander, and oversized Perch.

What sets the “+1” apart is its ability to reach depths of 3.20m, putting a massive 16cm profile right in the face of deep-holding predators. Despite its imposing size, Megabass has engineered the body to be ultra-slim and flat-sided. This design ensures that even though it dives deep, it offers incredibly low pull-resistance on the rod. You can “power fish” this lure—casting and retrieving at high speeds—all day long without the arm fatigue usually caused by large deep-divers.

Equipped with a Triple Tungsten Mass Transfer System, the Kanata +1 is a champion caster. Three tungsten balls shift to the tail during the throw, ensuring that this 31g lure flies like an arrow, even when you’re casting into a stiff breeze on a large loch or reservoir.

Where to Use the Kanata +1 (FW)

The Kanata +1 is designed for high-impact prospecting in larger bodies of water:

Large Lakes & Reservoirs: When Pike are suspended in the mid-water column or holding near deep weed lines, the Kanata +1 reaches them perfectly. Its massive flash can be seen from a distance, drawing curious predators in from the gloom.
Deep River Bends: Use the current to your advantage. Cast upstream and work the lure down into the deeper holes where large Zander or Pike wait in ambush. The low-resistance design allows it to track perfectly in moving water.
Drop-offs and Ledges: Because it is a floating lure, you can work it down a steep drop-off. If you feel the lip “bump” the bottom, simply pause; the lure will float slowly upward, backing away from the snag before you resume your retrieve.
Pre-Spawn & Winter Transitions: When fish move into deeper water during the colder months, the 3.2m depth range is essential. The slow-rolling action on a steady retrieve mimics a lethargic, easy-to-catch meal for a big hen Pike.
