This rod is a masterclass in heavy-duty construction, blending traditional glass strength with modern component technology.

Measuring 6 feet, this rod features an incredibly tough Tubular E-glass blank topped with a Solid Glass tip. This combination is nearly indestructible, providing the flex needed to absorb the lunges of a powerful fish while the solid tip ensures you can feel every rattle and take, even in deep water.

Heavy-Duty Components for Saltwater Combat

Tubular E-Glass & Solid Tip: Unlike high-modulus carbon rods that can be brittle, the E-glass construction of the Ally II is built for “brute force.” The solid glass tip adds a layer of safety against high-sticking and provides excellent bite detection for a rod in this power class.
Seaguide® Stainless Steel Guides: To handle the constant friction of braided lines, this model is equipped with Seaguide® PVD Black Stainless-Steel guides featuring Zirconium inserts. These inserts are diamond-hard and dissipate heat rapidly, extending the life of your line during long, high-speed runs.
Seaguide® Aluminum HBS Reel Seat: A rod is only as good as its connection to the reel. The non-corrosive aluminum HBS seat ensures your multiplier or overhead reel stays firmly secured, with zero “play” even when the drag is locked down.

Where to Use the Ally II Conventional 80-250g

General Offshore Boat Fishing: The perfect “all-rounder” for the UK and European boat scene. It has the finesse for large Cod and Pollack but the backbone for Conger Eels and Tope.
Wreck & Reef Fishing: Ideally suited for working heavy lures or bait over structure. The 250g rating allows you to hold bottom in significant tides without the rod becoming over-gunned.
Light Trolling: Its robust E-glass construction makes it a capable crossover rod for light surface trolling for species like Bonito or Albacore.
