Description
The Cox & Rawle Aluminium Single Leader Sleeves are a critical piece of terminal tackle used in sea fishing rig building, particularly when creating strong, crimped connections on monofilament line.
Key Characteristics:
- Material: Aluminium (or sometimes called “alloy” crimps).
- Type: Single Leader Sleeves (also commonly referred to as Crimps or Single Barrel Sleeves). This means they have one single, hollow tube to pass the leader material through twice to form a loop.
- Purpose: They are designed for use with Monofilament (or nylon) leader and rig body lines.
- Strength/Security: They are considered heavy-duty and are used to create extremely strong, secure, and permanent loops and connections that can withstand powerful casting and fighting large fish.
Available Sizes and Internal Diameters:
They are sold in a range of sizes, which correspond to the internal diameter (ID) of the sleeve to ensure a tight, secure crimp on the leader line. Common sizes include (but may vary slightly):
